Slimming World Summer Ball

Saturday found us racing down the M4 winging our way to Neath for Slimming Worlds Summer ball. The venue was the stunning Glyn Clydach Hotel in Neath and the weather was simply perfect.
Having arrived at the venue I was more than a little worried to find that there were more guests expected than I imagined leaving almost no room left for me to set up a studio, but with a little tinkering (and a broom closet), and thanks to the very accomodating management team, I was able to set up our smallest studio setup just in time for the first arrivals.

The evening was a great success and was enjoyed by all. There were some amazing success stories which gave me confidence in my own battle! It was a pleasure to meet you all and no doubt we will meet again!

Caldicot Prom 2011

On Thursday evening we had the pleasure of attending Caldicot Comprehensive Year 11 leavers prom for the second year running held at St.Pierre.

As last year, the evening started with arrivals and a drinks reception with all lads ‘n lasses arriving in style in Limo’s and even a double decker bus!
The weather was stunning as were all the guests in their wonderful ball gowns and DJ’s and the evening promised to better even last year’s fantastic prom! And we weren’t disappointed.
Every one of the students were in high spirits and enjoyed a fun packed evening behaving impeccably. Each and every student were a credit to themselves and their school and should be proud of themselves.

Chepstow Racecourse Xmas party nights

Well Saturday 18th was the last night of Chepstow Racecourse’s Christmas Party nights.

Although the weather threatened to ruin the night, everyone made it on time and it proved to be a great party.
The guests told me they enjoyed a great festive meal followed by a vibrant dance evening and everyone was in the party mood!
Some nights also saw party goers gambling away their Christmas money on the roulette and card tables (actually, play money was provided so no children will be going without on Christmas morning!).

The highlight of the evening was when a party of 30 (who shall remain nameless for fear of being committed to a local asylum), decided to take to the racecourse and run their own race along the track; some barefoot through 6 inches of snow!
Many thanks to all who attended; we had a great time attending and we look forward to seeing you all next year.

Don’t forget to come along for the Welsh National; the country’s biggest raceday on December 27th.

Monmouthshire Rugby Tournament

On Sunday 10th October we attended the Monmouth Festival of young rugby which took place on Chippenham fields, Monmouth.
The weather was kind to us and the day delivered some fantastic competitive but relaxed rugby from the 9 different age groups and included teams from Monmouth, Abergavenny, Berry Hill, Newent, Lydney, Dowlais, Machen, Gwernyfed and Crickhowell.
The quality of the rugby was outstanding from all age groups and I think the Veterans game felt the pressure to keep up!
All teams did very well, with Gwernyfed winning the U9, U10 & U12 age groups!

Chepstow Round Table summer ball

Last night we attended a charity summer ball hosted by the Chepstow Round Table.
Held at the Abbey Hotel in Tintern, Tintern Abbey provided a stunning backdrop to the red carpet arrival of the guests, allowing us to capture some great arrival images.
The evening began with a Pimms reception followed by dinner, a charity auction and raffle and live music and entertainment. With all this going on, there was little room left for us to put up even our smallest mobile studio which was a potential problem. With a little last minute improvisation, we manged to get our event marque up and running and it proved to be the perfect size to host a 9ft backdrop, three lights and printing station.

As usual the Round Table were succesful at raising much needed funds for the enormous charity work they undertake in the community and we are always happy to attend and help support their cause.

We shot well over a thousand photos in our mobile studio, and were delighted with the beautiful images we captured. Wellington Academy Prom 2010

On Saturday we attended Wellington Academy year 11 prom in Wiltshire and had a great night.
I would like to say a big thanks to all who attended the evening. We were very impressed, not only with the staff but with each and every student we photographed.
It was a pleasure to have been invited and each and every one of you are a credit to your school.
